Terms of Service

Effective July 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of kolumn, the project management service available at kolumn.co ("the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the company you represent.

1. The service

kolumn provides project boards, task cards, team collaboration, reporting, and an optional feature that reads email accounts you connect (such as Google Gmail or Microsoft Outlook) on a read only basis to create task cards automatically. We may add, change, or remove features as the service evolves.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Workspace owners control who joins their workspace and what members can access.
• You must be at least 16 and authorized to bind your company if using kolumn for a business.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are posted at kolumn.co and may include founding customer rates that remain in effect for the life of the subscription as described at purchase.
• Free trials convert to paid plans only when you choose a plan and provide payment. We do not charge without your action.
• You can cancel anytime; service continues through the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law.
• We may change list prices with 30 days notice; locked founding rates are not increased for the life of the subscription.

4. Email connections

• Connecting an email account is optional and uses the provider's official authorization. Access is read only: kolumn cannot send, delete, or modify your email.
• You may disconnect at any time in Settings or through your email provider's security settings.
• You are responsible for having the right to connect an inbox (for example, connecting a company inbox with your employer's permission).

5. Your content

• You own the content you and your team put into kolumn. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it solely to operate the service.
• You can export your data (CSV and PDF) at any time.
• You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to upload it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use kolumn to break the law, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, attempt to breach or overload the service, resell the service without our written agreement, or access another workspace's data. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

7. Automated processing

The email to card feature uses automated language analysis. It is helpful but not perfect: it may occasionally miss an action item or create a card that is not needed. kolumn is a productivity aid, not a substitute for professional judgment, and you remain responsible for your business decisions, deadlines, and contractual obligations.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, kolumn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars if you have paid nothing.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms after reasonable notice where practical. Upon termination you may request your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will post updates here with a new effective date and announce material changes by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
